This place if definitely hidden in the back of the Ocean City Market. This use to be a Mexican market with a great little restaurant in the same place. The place is small and super clean. The woman that works there is a total sweetheart both times I've come here. Everyone there has been very nice. I wasn't sure what to try the first time but one thing she suggested was the Drunken Noodles. I'm glad I went for it because now I'm hooked. I LOVE it! So delicious and spicy level 10. Very hot but perfect and very filling. I crave it now on a weekly basis. See you next week!

Thank goodness for Yelp reviews because curb appeal will not draw you into this place. Its not only inside an Asian/Seafood grocery store that is surrounded by Mexican street food carts, its all the way in the back of the store. But don't hesitate because not only is the food outstanding, but the service is extremely friendly. Co-worker and I started with the Pot Stickers, which were maybe the best I've every had thanks in part to the jalapeno infused dipping sauce. Then I had the drunken noodles and he had the spicy fried rice. Our waitress asked us how spicy we wanted our dishes and we both replied "hot". She smiled and I think laughed a little. Hot here means very spicy, so beware. Although I would probably order my meal medium spicy next time, the flavor was still perfect. Both dishes were perfectly cooked, fresh vegetables really popped in my dish. The best thing about my dish was that it was not swimming in sauce. I should note that there are only 6-7 tables and they were closing up shop at 730 on a Tuesday night. Looking forward to going back and trying a curry dish.

In SLC for some spring skiing. Yelped thai and hit upon Thai Chilli. Wow, what a home run. Molly had the Pad Thai and I ordered the Yellow Curry with beef. Didn't get the name of the waitress who is one of the two owners (the other is the chef) but she brought chicken curry by mistake. When I brought up the mistake, she immediately apologized and told me that we could bring home the chicken curry and reordered the right meal which came and was outrageous. No alcohol but the best 20 buck meal for two you can get. I'll return next time I'm in town.

The food is excellent. We came a couple times already, and the food never disappoint. My husband and I are Thai food enthusiasts, we were lucky to have found this spot in the middle of Salt Lake City. The first time I came, we tried Thai Papaya Salad, it was an absolute delight with the sautéed chicken and sweet rice. The owner is quite pleasant to have a conversation with. We will make this our regular spot definitely.

The best Thai food in Salt Lake! Very authentic.... Reminded me of street cart food in Bangkok. The service is excellent with extremely friendly staff. I had the Pad kra pao. I hear the tom yum is excellent too. Will definitely be back!

Hands down best Thai food I've had. My wife and I came here for dinner. It is located in the back corner of The Ocean City Market, with about 4 tables total. The people are so friendly too! We had the Pad Thai and the drunken noodles. I will be back the next time I am in SLC.

It's inside a market [Ocean City Market] in the back corner. Without any cistomer. Waited over 15 minutes... Still no one came to take our order. Decided to leave
(1)Thomas V.
came here a while ago when i was in the market. the place was dead with no other customers. we got the pad see ew, pad thai, and thai tea here. noodles werent very good. pad see ew was too salty and pad thai was too sweet. both were too oily and the meat was bland. the thai tea was too sweet and didnt have enough tea. i grew up eating a lot of thai food and i can assure you that this isn't the best around. prices were good which prob explains the ratings but nothing stood out. tables were sticky. prob wont be back esp since there are much better options elsewhere for my go-to for thai like ekamai in sugarhouse, tea rose in murray, and chabaar in midvale.

Very great costumer service the lady talked to us right as we walked in the door. It's a little weird walking through a full grocery store before stumbling upon couple tables in the back. Food takes a little while but is totally worth it! It's not to spicy and they have a lot of great options the lady's that work there are also very helpful in helping you decide what you want. It's a little hard to spot coming up state street but other then that it's really great.

Fantastic food, different and original taste. Charming little place at the back of the market gives an authentic little feel. I feel like I'm popping into a hidden market restaurant on vacation. Huge servings, quick and friendly service, family feel. Hidden gem. Check this place out and spread the word.

I didn't even know there was a restaurant tucked away in the back of the Ocean City Market, but I'm glad I stumbled upon it! The owner was extremely friendly and charming, but I can't stress just how good the food was. I haven't had Thai food this fresh and delicious in a super long time, and certainly not in Utah. We ordered chicken satay, green curry with tofu, and ginger stir fry with chicken. Everything was incredibly fresh, the portions were generous, and prices were reasonable. We were also given complementary cups of Thai coffee. I will definitely be going back. They've only been open for a month and a half, but I hope they succeed despite their unusual location in the back of an Asian grocery store. Also, they're open Sundays, which is awesome.
(5)Nina Z.
Hands down, some of the best Thai food I've had outside of Thailand. This is a tiny restaurant with only a small handful of tables tucked into the back of Ocean Market. The waiter was really helpful in explaining the menu and making recommendations. The highlight of my meal was the chicken satay and the Tom yum soup with shrimp. Since the kitchen is so tiny, this isn't the place to go if you're in a rush or want all your food to come out at the same time. But if you're looking for fresh, delicious, flavorful thai food this is where you'll find it.

Today (August,11, 2015), I had the worst dining experience in my life at Tai Chili Restaurant. This is the first time I wrote a review for a dining experience because I don't want to anyone having the same terrible experience! It was 11:55 am when I entered this small restaurant with only 2 tables of customers. First, it took about 10 minutes after I was seated, a big tall Asian waiter (in blue T-shirt) asked me for the order. Then, I asked him what drink is included for the lunch special (since the sign at the entrance said lunch special including a drink!). He unhappily told me - It only includes "water". Finally, I decided to order a two-item lunch combo that includes a drink of "water"! After for a long wait (~35 minutes), I got my dishes served with only two items and a bowl of steam rice. Then, I asked him: "Does the lunch combo include a spring roll & salad as it printed in the menu?" Then, he angrily said "No! That is all you have!" "Do you want it?" "If you don't want it, I'll take it back!" I was thinking to have it anyway (since I was already very hungry) but he took the dishes back without even waiting for my answer. Then, he unhappily said to me that he does not want to serve the lunch anymore. It ended up I wasted 45 minutes of my lunch time and left the restaurant hungrily. Two other customers can't withstand this rude and unprofessional waiter and decide to leave immediately. I strongly ask the owner should fire this terrible servicer if the owner wants to run this restaurant in the future!

Three of us went to this little shop in the back of an Asian food market, complete with full seafood counter. Smell isn't so great when you walk into the store, but the little restaurant area in the back was clean, brightly lit and pleasant. I think we were the only people in there that didn't speak Thai. Ordered pot stickers. Whoa!! They were fantastic. One of our party got the shrimp Tom yum, spicy. The proprietor was taking our order and laughed when he said he liked spicy. When it came out, it was VERY spicy. You could smell the heat. Great flavor though. The shrimp in the soup was cooked well, and it had the right mix of sweet and tang. Just don't make your server think you're challenging the spicy scale. You can always add heat, just not take it out. The Massaman curry with chicken was excellent and served with massive bowl of rice. The other two of us got Drunken noodles with chicken and Sesame chicken with broccoli. Again, both were very good. It's been more than a month, but I remember the wanting to eat more of the drunken noodles and them being so spicy that I was sweating, but I didn't want to stop. That's the mark of good drunken noodles though. It's important to note that serving sizes were enough for two or three people to share. I guess it's designed to be family style. We each took food home. In summary, go here, with a navigator to help you find it. Order less than you think you can eat. And if you want something spicy, do NOT use the word "very" unless you really mean it.
(5)Jc C.
First time in, ordered soup and pan fried flat noodles which was great is a very small place its inside ocean city market store. Price is a bit pricey then other places but good good. Lots of flavor not the best looking place its a great hole in a wall place to eat.

Have you ever watched one of those underground gambling movies where you have to go through hidden passages and say coded words/phrases for entry? "The red fox trots quietly at midnight" Yeah, well finding Thai Chilli is very similar to that process. This joint is literally inside to the far back corner of Ocean City Market. You can find its location north of the seafood/meat aisle. But don't worry, there isn't a bodyguard standing at the narrow entry and you don't need a coded phrase to enter. Seating may be limited though considering there is only 5 or 6 tables. When you do find an open seat, Look up and you can see the beautiful blue sky as well as all the wonderful bird droppings. Not appetizing to think about BUT the food sure make you forget about what's above your head. Now onto the food. I ordered the Som Tum Combo, which comes with a generous portion of the papaya salad, sticky rice, curry barbecued chicken thigh, and soft boiled eggs. Yes I did say soft boiled eggs!!! It was love at first sight ^__^ Make no mistake, this is not a dish to eat with utensils. You got to get down and dirty with this dish to enjoy all that was offered. Dip your eggs in the chili fish like sauce, take a bite of the chicken, grab some sticky rice and top it off with the papaya salad! My boyfriend got the popular stir fry with beef and it was packed with heat. You can customize your spice level to your tasting with each dish, just let your server know! My boyfriend and I came back the next day just to make sure this place still exist and that it wasn't a dream. And sure enough, the second day we came back, Thai Chilli was still there with the owner's big smile and her mother (the chef) whipping up, in my opinion, the best Thai food in the salt lake valley :)
(5)Amy W.
Favorite Thai Curry in the valley! So flavorful, perfect amount of spice (I chose medium), and huge portions! I loved everything about Thai Chili. Also, coffee is FREE (what?!) and their mint tea is perfect. I wish I would have tried the green papaya salad as it's my favorite Thai dish, but I didn't. What was I thinking?! Next time. I will be coming here often from here on out.
(5)Luisa H.
Wonderful owners, went out of their way to accommodate my two young boys. They even tried to teach them how to use chopsticks. The food was very authentic and cooked really fast. Their Pad se ew noodles are to die for. We also recommend the green curry.
(5)Sophie L.
I'm so glad I checked this place out. Sure it's inside a grocery store but it's probably the best thai food in SLC. Super friendly service and large portions. For 9 bucks, my basil chicken came with salad and I could have probably split it with someone (and trust me I eat a lot). It was so yummy that, of course, I ate the whole big plate. Food was very flavorful, what you'd expect from a good thai restaurant. Glad SLC has this gem now.

Walking within Ocean City Market, I discovered this restaurant in the NW corner of the store. After having been to Ocean City Mart a handful of times, I finally gathered the courage to walk into this empty restaurant for lunch. I walked in and immediately noticed how empty it was--I was a bit skeptical but continued. Tables were clean and walking past the open kitchen door, I was greeted and asked if this was to-go or for here. I said for here and was instructed to sit anywhere. I took the menu off the counter and sat myself. The waitress comes by and takes my drink and food order. Later she asks where I was from (ethnically) & if I was a nurse (given my blue scrubs). Smiling, I said that I was Vietnamese & a dental student. She gave an awkward smile and ignored me after that. Later, there was a table of four that came in after me (2 women, 2 children) who ordered food after as well and then 2 Thai women who were obvious friends of the waitress. They immediately received their food even though the table of four that came before them ordered way earlier. That is rude, and it's not restaurant etiquette to push their orders up, especially when the table that came first hadn't even received their salads or apps yet & came 15 mins prior. On top of that, that waitress didn't refill my water even once and began using the other side of my table to set up utensils + napkins and left them scattered there while I was still eating my dessert. There were other empty tables she could have done that on...it wouldn't have been so weird if she talked to me while doing it, but she just started assembling and left them there. Another service issue that bothered me was while eating my lunch combo, I was given my bill without asked if I was interested in ordering anything else. After finishing my food, I went to the counter because it had been 5 minutes of no service. Then I asked to add the "sweet stick rice mango thai custard of white on black sticky rice" to my order. She looked annoyed & grunted "to-go?" and when I said for here, she seemed more annoyed. The cook walks by and asks if I wanted white or black. I answer,"white please!" The waitress then says, "don't talk to her--talk to me. I know better--I take order." BUT the lady cook just asked me herself what I wanted in front of the waitress! Did she expect me to completely ignore her?! I get that there may have been a language barrier or order breach, but it was definitely awkward being scolded for having answered a question. All in all, the waitress had the worst service and never asked me how anything was, but the cook was nice, smiled, and even asked how my dessert was while I was trying it, so I have a feeling there can be good service, but it was an obvious miss for me that day. A few things I ordered: Lunch combo with tom yum (spicy soup) and moo-yang (grilled pork) for $7.99. This came with an iceberg salad to start mixed with slices of radish, purple cabbage, carrots, and vinaigrette. The salad tasted fine but there was a bit too much vinaigrette mixed in. The tom yum soup was very flavorful and tasty but almost too much like concentrate. I used all the rice to help neutralize the soup's potency. The moo-yang was seasoned to be sweet, was thinly sliced & skewered, and moist from the first bite until the last. It had a bit too much of a molasse taste for my preference, especially for something this savory, but it wasn't bad. I probably won't order this item again though. For dessert I had the sweet sticky rice mango thai custard on white sticky rice ($3.50). The price was a killer deal, but the white sticky rice was HARD, COLD, and had a LONG STRING. I told the chef, and she took it off my plate with her fingers & dismissed it as being a piece from the bamboo container used to prep the dessert. It was awful, and I hardly touched it after 3 bites. I tried to do different corners trying to see if there were areas that might have had softer sticky rice, but they were all the same. The rice was way too dry and undercooked. Even the coconut milk all around it couldn't help moisten it up in time. The thai custard was dry as well but porous which helped but still not something I'd try again. I am a bit disappointed to see the inconsistency with portion sizes though, considering how Betty P's photo of the dessert with the black sticky rice version looks much larger with double the thai custard and strawberries--even a few more slices of mango on a larger plate. Overall, food was good, especially for the price; however, the service and consistency could be improved by a LOT. Tip 1: You can find it in the NW corner of Ocean City Market. Going in, it's in the back right side of the market (opposite side of the seafood) for those unaware of NESW. Tip 2: If you need to use the restroom, ask for a key. Read this now & save time walking around twice on a full bladder. Tip 3: Rumor has it, there is free coffee here. I wasn't offered any.

Super nice staff and excellent Thai food! Mark Wiens of Migrationology would be proud.

I should knock this down a star due to the service. Simply put this lady just needs wait staff help. She is trying to do everything in the dining area almost alone. That said, she is extremely courteous, gracious, and apologetic as most Asians are. For example she is always very solicitous as to whether you like the food, but you get the feeling she really means it, rather than just asking the obligatory "how is everything" without real interest. Also the space is quite small; it is located in the back of the Asian market fronting State Street. The food here is unreal. Everything is very fresh. And some interesting touches put this over the top. The Pad See Ew is the best I've had. The noodles have an every so slight char having an extra crispy and campfire taste. The pot stickers are garnished with slices of fried garlic. It is obvious that this lady puts her heart into this menu. The Pad Thai and Goong Pad Prik Pow are the best I've had in SLC since Lemongrass closed about 10 years ago. Get there early or at an off time if you want to be seated timely and get service quicker. Lunch rush is best avoided as this place is small and does not turn over quickly.
(5)Hoa T.
Very nice and enthusiastic staff. They are here to please. The food is super fresh. I had the fish cake which was very flavorful. I love the spice in the dipping sauce. The papaya salad was very tasty and when requested they even made it spicier for me. For the papaya salad combo I chose the option that came with chicken. The chicken was marinated perfectly and very tender. They were so nice to let me try the red curry (gang dang) with chicken. Again so very good. The curry was rich in flavor. I'm officially a fan and love the fact that it's inside my favorite market. A meal here once a week is in my future and a larger belly.
(5)Alexander D.
This place is amazing! Dont be turned off ny the fact that its inside an asian market, its probably some of the best thai food I've found in salt lake city thus far, the food is fresh and super authentic! I'm thai myself and it reminds me of my mom's cooking! The lady who owns the place is awesome, she's super friendly and very accomodating. I went with a group and they served everything family style so we all got to try everything, everything we tried was amazing we had pad thai, panang, drunken noodles and yellow curry. I'm sure whatever you order will be tasty! I'll for sure be back soon to try some other dishes! :) aroy mak!

"Big things truly comes in small packages." Sometimes the greatest, biggest, and boldest flavors can be found in the most unlikely of all places. In this case, a gem was found in the northwest corner of Ocean City marketplace. Thai Chilli, a small little restaurant with about 7 tables delivered a powerful, and flavorful punch to my tastebud with their outstanding dishes today. I ordered the Pad Ga Prow, and my girlfriend ordered the Papaya salad combo with curry roasted chicken. Both dishes were absolutely amazing.! The roasted chicken was slightly moist in the inside, and the outer layer of the chicken was crispy with a perfect balance of curry that wasn't overwhelming. The Pad Ga Prow blew me away! I ordered my dish "medium" Thai style, and it was spicy! However, what I enjoy the most about this dish was the fact that the spiciness of the dish felt natural. I felt the heat with each bite I took, but moments later the heat would evaporate and I'm back for another, and another. Other Thai places normally just pour a ton of chilly oil into their dish and call it "spicy" but that's not the case with Thai Chilli. They have their own unique "secret sauce" that delivers a unique one of the kind taste with the awesome balance of spiciness. I can't wait to return to this place again on a rainy day where I am able to eat right under the rain. Their restaurant isn't the fanciest in town, but their food is definitely a lot better then most expensive high end Thai restaurants that I have been to around Salt Lake City. What you will find here is just a simple little sit down restaurant in the corner of an oriental market that doesn't look like much. However, from the moment you take that first bite to the very last your perception of the place will change instantly. The simple things in life are usually the greatest especially when it comes to you unexpectedly. That's how I came to find Thai Chilli, simply by driving around town for an hour on a Monday night trying to find some delicious food with my girlfriend..

Pros: Food was excellent. Had my usuals - chicken satay (grilled & yummy) and chicken pad see ew. I've had several disappointing versions over the last few months and was starting to think no one else knew how to do it justice. Wife had pad woon sen with tofu and egg and said it was great. Cons: Place is a dive and I would never eat in. Not much of a restaurant- 5 or 6 small tables in a cramped space. Wait time was ~30 minutes which was way too long. (To her credit the owner/manager did apologize for the wait.) They did screw up my wife's appetizer, too. She asked (twice!!!) for VEGETARIAN potstickers and they gave her ones with meat. Worst of all it's located in the back of an Asian seafood market so you have to walk past and/or smell the very strong smell of fresh fish. I'm an omnivore and it bothered me. Don't know how a vegetarian/vegan could visit such a place. Summary: great food, but get take out. And take your time getting there.

Have you ever watched one of those food shows were they show a gem of a restaurant hidden in the back of some small off the beaten path place. They always say the same thing about the food... the best. Well let me say the Thai Chilli Restaurant is one of the small gems of a restaurant , right here in Salt Lake. Its what I call one of those wonderful dives that serves up true authentic Thai Cuisine. I've eaten at many Thai restaurant in the Salt Lake area, and after eating here I'll feel hard pressed to go anywhere else. The restaurant is run by a mom ( Chef) and Daughter (Sous Chef & Server) team. Its a very tiny place with just 6 tables...nothing fancy, which is why I love this place. The Daughter treated our table to a wonderful Thai dessert made with sticky black rice, custard and and fresh Mango's.. delicious! If you love Thai, give this a try... You won't be disappointed.
(5)Ming L.
I have to say, I finally found the BEST THAI FOOD in town! I'm from Bangkok, Thailand. Most of the time in my life I'm always searching for good Asian food. I found some pretty good Thai food places around SLC area, but they are all like 70%-80% close to the food in Thailand, most of the place still trying to Americanize Thai food, but this place is like 90% up like the food we eat in Thailand. They don't try to Americanize it, they like to keep it original, that's why this place is so good to me! Even tho I live in Orem, the first time I ate at this place, I came back 3 times in a roll, drove 35 mins just to eat here! Yep, that's how good the food is!
(5)Rocky B.
Good food
(4)Brad V.
You got a love this place. The chicken curry is outstanding. The next time you're in Salt Lake and you want serious Thai food, check this place out. You'll love it.
(4)Debbie L.
I highly recommend this restaurant. Food is above average and service is extremely pleasant. I was pleased when I asked for a spicy dish and it was actually spicy! Medium heat was perfect. I love this place. I can hardly wait to go back. Thanks for a great experience!
(5)Scott J.
You would think this an Asian market but there is a restaurant in the back. Not good atmosphere and VERY hot if it is sunny. The waiter was very friendly and helpful. The food was good and perhaps dare I say too much for portion but great to share. Medium spice is warm but good. Excellent price to value. Bathrooms left this germophobe a bit scared but given better street presence and atmosphere, I would have given this a 5. Which for me is tough.
(4)Michael S.
Excellent food, good price and nice folks. Cool that it's located in an Asian grocery store.
(4)Tee T.
It was amazing. Everything tastes like how my mother makes it. The papaya salad was fiyah! Panang Curry was delicious!
(5)Laura B.
A friend told me about this secret little restaurant hiding in the back of a fish market. I love secrets so I added it to my list & have no regrets. It's going to be difficult to order thai anywhere else now. I don't know anything about authentic thai because I've never been to Thailand but their food is like no other thai I've had so that's probably pretty accurate. We ordered drunken noodles (very spicy by the way) pineapple curry. They were both good size portions & tasty.
(5)Oscar O.
Super nice people. Pretty good food. I am giving four stars because the staff are so nice and deserve 5 stars. The food is probably a 3 star.
(4)Mariah W.
This place is a little hidden treasure. The best Thai food I've had in a long time. The food is so fresh and the servers are so nice. Definitely recommend it.
(5)Taylor D.
I went to eat here and they were closed for some reason everywhere online says they're open and now they're not. They say they ran out of food. I'm not exactly sure how you fun out of food I a super market??? Beware of the unusual closed moments throughout the day. I will update when I actually try the food.
(3)Brendon T.
If you can ignore the fact that it is inside a food market and simply go there for the food, you will be in for a delightful surprise. The food: this is probably the most authentic place I have ever been to here in Utah. Their Tom Yum was rich in flavor and you can actually see it in the broth, full of seasonings such and lemon grass, kafir lime leaf, and galanga root to name a few, that many place lack. Their curry dishes are thick and not watery like others. Again, it was full in flavor and taste. Pad Ga Prow was strong in basil flavor, which I like. The portion: it is not typical for a Thai restaurant to give you close to the same portions as a Chinese restaurant. But holy smokes, my lunch special two item combo was huge. They even gave salad with it and a free drink if you go on Wednesday...I even had left overs to go. Most Thai places also charge for extra rice. These guys don't. If you want sticky rice over jasmin, or a combination, it is also free with a meal. The staff: I felt so welcomed and the chef even came out to chat with us and asked about her food. I was so pleased to see how the staff was so kind and willing to take in suggestions. I am definitely a huge fan and will go again.
(5)Cody G.
The food is very very good. Authentic Thai is what I was looking for and that's what I got! If you're going for a nice ambiance, this isn't where you want to go. It's located inside of an Asian market, but don't be fooled, you will enjoy the food. The owner was very friendly and attentive to our needs. I recommend trying this place.
(4)Piyaporn D.
Authentic Thai foods in Salt Lake City , I recommend papaya salad combo is perfect and pad tai , thai iced tea , we love it
(5)Kavi M.
Great place. First off it's in a seafood store. It's owned by a lady and her sister and they really mean well. Food is great. Cooked fresh and she would always come back and ask clarification questions for us vegetarians. She would always come by and ask if everything is okay, and if we need anything else. She was very polite and enthusiastic about her food. And, she was so excited that we came(we are visiting the city for snowboarding) that she gave us free dessert. Highly recommend this place.
(5)Surfi G.
Perhaps I should try the dining option. I did the take out cos I was in a hurry. However, the waitress and cook were nice, talkative, and smiley, and the food was good. The papaya salad portion was big so if you order that, order something else too, otherwise the flavor can get boring. The tom yum soup is also good. The good thing was I can shop while waiting for my food to get done. I will definitely go back.
(5)Sophie P.
The best Thai restaurant ever in Salt Lake City. The chicken satay is so good. The lady is so nice and made us two free ice Thai Tea. That were sooooo good. My friend took me there, and I took my boyfriend there. We have been there three times this week. Can't wait to eat something there again:D
(5)Christen G.
This restaurant is located in the far back right corner of the Ocean City Market. There are only about 7 or 8 tables. We were greeted and seated immediately. There were a few other people eating but we showed up at around 2. We decided on the lunch deal--you can choose TWO options from a list of about 15 or 8.99. It came with a delicious salad and jasmine rice. I can't remember the names of what I ordered but they were both amazing. My fiancé got yellow curry and basil stir fry and loved his food as well. They brought each dish out as it was finished and I could here the food being prepared in the little kitchen. There was one tiny woman cooking out food and she came out to check on us and see if we liked our meals. So sweet! We left full and happy! I will be back and I'll be bringing people with me too. I can definitely appreciate a good hole in the wall and this textbook! Best kept secret in SLC---go now!
(5)Sophy L.
The most authentic Thai food in town, their food literally test like what people sale in Thailand. All servers are friendly and nice, ask them what's good and they will answer all your question. Recommend for their Rad Na and Som Tum chicken combo!!!!
(5)H. W.
Nice food at a little corner in asian market. The service is great, the owners are friendly. We ordered green curry tofu and papaya salad; both of the dishes were tasty and price was competitive. We will definitely go back again!
(4)Luke P.
I'll keep it simple, this place is great! Definitely eat here. Fresh and authentic Thai food, can't beat that. Spent $10 and ate till it hurt.

This is hands down the best Thai food in SLC. The Tom-Yum is served hot and spicy. Take the time to read the menu and find the gems that exist beyond the standard Pad Thai. (not that there is anything wrong with the Pad Thai but live a little and try something new.) The Mango sticky rice is beautiful in its presentation and wonderful in its taste. This restaurant is a gem. It is located at the back of the Ocean City Seafood Market and you have to walk through the store to get to the restaurant.

Great value for the money! Delicious bountiful bowls of yummy Thai food. Only downside arrive early because they run out of certain things around dinner time. Highly recommend yellow curry, pad his, noodle soup bowls and Satays. Run by one sweet lady and her cook.

Great tasting food! We ordered the Pat Seew and Larb, very flavorful. These dishes were served in large portions, more than enough for two. Would definitely return again.

Perfect. From the amazingly friendly, no frills atmosphere to the the incredibly tasty food this is where to go for your Thai food fix. They provide all of the standard menu items as well as some hard-to-find dishes like pink noodle soup and Isaan-style Som Tum. Their Larb is the best in town.

This place is amazing! The food is bomb. Our waitress was a hustler too; she was on top of everything. Def worth it.

What a gem! Little mom and pop Thai restaurant in the back of a seafood store. The best Thai outside of Thailand. My dinner mate lived there for two years and was totally impressed. We had 2 entrees, a salad and spring rolls and it was way too much. Took a lot home in a box

At first I was trepidatious when I saw the prices at this restaurant, but then I saw the enormous serving sizes. Then I tasted it; I'm hooked. This place has a magic kitchen. The service is very friendly as well.

We had pad see ew with shrimp and duck curry. The positives: - great customer service - portions are huge - quality ingredients and plenty of it. The shrimp were big and the vegetables were fresh. - the curry flavor was perfect. The spice level was just right. The negatives - the place is tiny. More ideal for to go order - pad see ew was good, but we had better - duck meat was a bit tough This will be our to go to Thai restaurant because it is affordable and close to our home.

Found reviews on Yelp intriguing. Yep it is in the back of an Asian grocery store and yes it's run by the two generous and gracious sisters. Was in town for a conference and after a whole day's worth of meetings and conference food, all I wanted was a hot bowl of soup. And even though they were about to close, they whipped up this giant Tom Yum soup. She said it was going to be delicious and make me sweat. She was spot on both scores. Most authentic Thai food and delicious. SLC: make this your go to place for Thai food and help these ladies grow their business.

It was a little difficult to locate the restaurant as it's inside the ocean market. However the taste of the food ( red curry and spicy fried rice) was really good! Also, the amount of food was more than what I would get in other Thai restaurants in SLC. The lady who took the order was also very friendly!! Overall Nice experience!

I just moved here from Los Angeles where I would eat amazing Thai food from a variety of authentic family owned restaurants on a weekly basis. I may be a white guy, but I consider myself an expert on the subject of Thai food. I know when its good, bad and outstanding. Thai Chilli Restaurant is the best Thai food I have ever had, hands down. The depth of flavor was amazing and the spice level was just what my sinus's needed. On top of that, the service was so warm and friendly I can not wait to come back for more. Thanks Thai Chilli! You were incredible!

Tucked in the back corner of a Thai supermarket, this place immediately felt authentic. I placed a to go order (drunken noodles) and chatted with the owner who was ridiculously sweet, in a very endearing way. Speaking of sweet, we were chatting about the menu, and she took great pride that she didn't use a lot of sweetener to compensate for a lack of flavor. Indeed, she was so excited for me to try it, she brought out my meal before wrapping it up just to see my reaction (adorable right?). It didn't disappoint. I ordered "American medium" spiciness, and it was just enough to make me sniffle a few times. The dish was a sizeable portion with fresh ingredients cooked just right. A great variety of textures and flavors including some delicious whole mushrooms I had never tried before. The ambiance wasn't fine dining, but I would definitely bring a group of friends here if we were looking for a welcoming, comfortable, positive-energy venue to hang out at without sacrificing taste. Average price ($10.73), great experience. Now back to these noodles...

It is located in the Asian market. My kids hate the smell of the fish in front of the restaurant. No one was there. The place was empty. When we walked in, they were so happy to see us. Appetizer, we ordered fish cake. The fish cakes they served are the same one that sold in that grocery in the freezer. I bought once and fried at home. One of my kid ordered Drunken noodle mild, he said it was too sweet like dessert. The other kid didn't want to eat anything because of the fish smell from the front of the restaurant. I tried Yentafo (red soup noodle). A lot of soup less meat and noodle. It's bland. At this pony, I realize that Yelp reviews for this restaurant are overrated. They might get free food to write a good or five stars review. I'm sorry. You are new business and receive overrated comments on Yelp, it doesn't mean that you're great. Hopefully, my comment made room for changes and growth for you. I'll go back again in a year or two to see if any change (if you're still around).

It is not much to look at but it was about the best Thai food we have ever had. The two sisters that cook and run the restaurant are very sincerely interested in serving great food.

We were a little nervous as we entered the fish market, but then we saw the restaurant at back. Still a little nervous but continued on. We were very happy we stayed. Great Tom Yum, yellow curry was awesome and green curry was spicy but very flavorful. Don't miss the sticky rice with mango's. Delicious!! Don't miss it!!!

If you're looking for delicious authentic Thai food look no further. This little gem is hidden in the back of the Ocean city Asian market on 9th south and state street. Everything we've had so far has been stellar, if you're feeling a little adventurous defer to the staff/ owners to pick something for you, preferably something they may have just cooked for themselves.
